Child Killed, Another Injured by Landmine in Taiz

A 12-year-old boy was killed and another of the same age was injured when a landmine exploded in Ladmy Al-Ahkum area of Hayfan district, Taiz governorate.

Hayfan police said Ahmed Naser Omar Saleh died yesterday, while his cousin, Mohammad Murad Omar Saleh (12), suffered various injuries after the landmine they found exploded. The police noted that the boys were unaware of the mine's danger.

The police added that this crime is part of the Houthi militia's ongoing attacks targeting civilians, including children, women, and the elderly, through landmine planting, direct sniping, and shelling of cities with heavy weapons.
