Amran: Child Dies After Lightning Strike in Thula District

A young girl from the family of Nabil Al-Samada was killed on Thursday after being struck by lightning in the Hijrat Bani Al-Obayah area of Thula District, Amran Governorate, according to local sources cited by Bran Press.

Statistics from the Yemen Children Platform indicate that the death toll from heavy rains and lightning strikes since the beginning of August has risen to more than twelve children across several Yemeni governorates, amid repeated tragedies.

Amran and several other governorates have recently witnessed heavy rains accompanied by ongoing thunderstorms, resulting in both human and material losses. Meteorologists have renewed warnings about the dangers of staying in open areas during storms, urging precautionary measures to protect lives.
