Training Workshop on the Impact of Environment and Climate on Children

The Yemen's Children Platform, in partnership with the National Organization of Yemeni Media Professionals “Sada,” organized a specialized training workshop on the impact of environmental and climate changes on children, with the participation of a group of journalists and individuals interested in child and environmental issues.

The workshop aimed to enhance journalists’ awareness of environmental degradation and its direct effects on children’s health, education, and well-being. It also sought to empower media professionals to produce high-quality media content that highlights environmental issues from a child-rights perspective.

The workshop covered topics related to climate change in Yemen, children as one of the most vulnerable groups, and the role of the media in promoting community awareness.

Organizers emphasized that this activity comes within the framework of the Child Journalism Program’s efforts to build the capacities of media professionals and develop journalistic content that keeps pace with escalating environmental challenges, contributes to protecting children, and supports policies addressing the impacts of climate change.
